CITY
CRUISER Shuttle services provide over 300,000 annual boardings including the
following routes:
1.
CITY CRUISER Park and Ride: Two morning trips and two afternoon trips bring
downtown workers from the Park and Ride lot at Oakland Park Boulevard and U.S.
441. About 25 downtown employees
use this service everyday eliminating a like number of automobiles from the rush
hour traffic.
2.
Downtown Loop: Operates from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on 10-minute frequencies.
The Downtown Loop circulates between the Broward County Transit terminal
and the Broward County Courthouse, while providing connections with almost every
major downtown office building. By
providing service south of the New River as well as north of Broward Boulevard
this route crosses two of the largest barriers to pedestrian traffic.
Approximately 600 passenger boardings are recorded each day made up primarily of
transit dependent people traveling between the transit terminal and the
Courthouse..

Northwest Circulator: Operates from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on 40-minute
frequencies. This route connects
northeast and northwest neighborhoods with downtown Fort Lauderdale. This route
serves one of the most economically depressed sections in Broward County.
Approximately 250 people board this route each day.
4.
Weekend Tri-Rail Connector: This
route connects the Tri-Rail station on Broward Boulevard with downtown Fort
Lauderdale and the Fort Lauderdale Beach as far north as the Galt Ocean Mile.
This service operates on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and Sunday
from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Approximately 600 passenger boardings are recorded
each weekend made primarily of people visiting Fort Lauderdale from across the
region as well as people on the beach wishing to visit downtown of access the
Tri-Rail station.
5.
Las Olas Boulevard/Fort Lauderdale Beach Loop:
This route primarily serves the visitor community by connecting the
entertainment and historical districts of downtown Fort Lauderdale with Las Olas
Boulevard and the Fort Lauderdale Beach on Friday and Saturday nights. This service operates on 15-minute frequencies from 7:00 p.m.
until 2:00 a.m. and carries approximately 575 passengers each weekend.
6.
A
Community Bus route in Lauderdale Manors began in April 2001. It
operates 12 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on
60-minute frequencies. Its
ridership is primarily people residing in the Lauderdale Manors neighborhood.
7.
A
Community Bus route in Galt Ocean Mile began in July 2001.
It operates 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. on 45-minute frequencies. Its
ridership is primarily people of retirement age residing in the Galt Ocean and
North Beach neighborhoods making local trips to the Coral Ridge Mall and to the
local Galt Community Center.
