
The City of Plantation has been successful in attracting corporate offices, regional malls, community retail and governmental agencies to Central Plantation. The City is now actively pursuing the next phase in community development and economic sustainability by master planning the area to achieve long term, community wide goals that help maintain the vitality of the central business district. The Master Plan will guide future decisions on public policy, investment and economic development to ensure that the central business district continues to be a benefit to the entire community and be recognized as a premiere South Florida business district.
The purpose of this Master Plan is to take a fresh and comprehensive look at the Central Plantation area and establish plans and policies for public and private investment that will achieve the following goals:

analyze plan information and alternatives, guide public discussions, evaluate
costs and benefits and establish implementation programs. These Master Plan

This comprehensive
approach to the planning phase of the project will be completed in a nine-month
project schedule that will involve several opportunities for public ideas and
comments.
